Home sales in Shawnee County declined in September. A total of 210 homes were sold, down from 232 in September 2022. Total sales volume came in at $41.8 million, reflecting a year-over-year decrease in overall market activity.
The median sale price was $170,000, slightly lower than the $178,006 recorded a year earlier. Homes sold quickly, spending a median of just 4 days on the market and closing at 100.0% of their list prices, indicating strong buyer interest and well-priced listings.
ACTIVE LISTINGS AND INVENTORY TRENDS IN SHAWNEE COUNTY
At the end of September, there were 214 active listings in Shawnee County, up from 149 in September 2022. This represents a 1.2 months’ supply of homes, giving buyers more inventory to choose from while still favoring sellers overall.
