Help Us Support Our Community: Join Our Food Drive for the Topeka Rescue Mission
As the seasons change and the holidays approach, it's a time when many of us gather with friends and family, sharing meals, love, and gratitude. Unfortunately, not everyone in our community has the comfort of a full pantry, and for some, a holiday meal is just another item on a long list of needs. To address this, we're honored to partner with the Topeka Rescue Mission (TRM) to organize a food drive, providing food to individuals and families in need. We invite you to join us in this heartfelt mission to support our neighbors who may be struggling, whether they're experiencing homelessness or facing food insecurity within their own homes.
Why Your Support Matters
The Topeka Rescue Mission is more than a shelter for the homeless. While they provide critical services to those without a place to call home, they're also a lifeline for families and individuals who live in their own spaces but struggle to afford basic necessities. These families may face the tough choice between rent and groceries, or they might find their resources stretched thin due to unexpected expenses. Through TRM's food assistance programs, families can receive much-needed support that helps them not only meet basic needs but also move toward greater stability and independence.
For families living paycheck-to-paycheck, a single emergency like a car repair, a medical bill, or a shift in employment can tip the scales. That's where TRM comes in, helping to bridge the gap so these families can find relief, regain stability, and feel the comfort that comes with knowing their community cares.
What We're Collecting
We are calling for donations of non-perishable food items. These items will go directly to TRM's food pantry, where they'll be distributed to families, seniors, and individuals in need. Here are a few suggested items that are much needed this holiday season:

- Canned Yams/Sweet Potatoes
- Canned Green Beans
- French Fried Onions
- Cranberry Sauce
- Canned Protein
- Gravy Mix
- Boxed Stuffing
- Instant Mashed Potatoes
- Boxed Scalloped Potatoes
- Cake Mix
- Frosting
- Canned Pie Filling

2. Shop TRM's Amazon Needs List: Can't make it to a drop-off location? Purchase items from the TRM Amazon Needs List and they'll be shipped straight to the Mission.
3. Make a monetary donation: Support TRM directly through their online donation page. Every dollar helps stock the pantry and keep services running for those who need them most.
