We visited classic diners, walk-up windows, lakeside grills, casual bars, and long-loved neighborhood favorites. Each stop reminded us why Topeka KS has one of the most underrated food scenes in the Midwest.
This finale brings everything together. We are looking back on what we learned, the places that stood out, and what made each restaurant special. And of course, we are revealing our choice for the King of Burgers in Topeka.

A JOURNEY THROUGH TOPEKA’S BURGER SCENE
We kicked off our series at Bobo’s Drive-In, one of the most iconic restaurants in Topeka. With decades of history and a classic American feel, Bobo’s immediately set the tone for what this series would become.
From there, we visited The Pad Restaurant on Topeka Boulevard. Known for comfort food and Topeka tradition, The Pad proved why locals keep coming back year after year.
Next was Chuckburger, a small drive-in that brings nostalgia to life with straightforward, satisfying burgers. For many Topekans, Chuckburger is part of growing up, and its steady loyal following explains why.
Then came Prize Package, a walk-up spot at its best. Small in size but big on flavor, Prize Package reminded us that some of the best burgers in Topeka KS come from places that focus on quality and consistency.
For Episode 5, we visited The Shack near Lake Shawnee. Its relaxed vibe and hearty burgers made it a perfect representation of Topeka’s laid-back dining style.

Every restaurant we visited earned our respect. Every stop had something special to offer. But the winner captured that perfect mix of quality and heart that defines the best of Topeka dining.
